Description
Kongomono is the result of an Orochimaru experiment to make a new Sage of Six Paths by taking both Hashirama and Madara’s DNA and adding them to a number of infants DNA in the hopes that at least one of their bodies would accept the new DNA. Kongomono was the only infant who's body accepted the DNA due to her being an actual descendant of the Sage of Six Paths. However, having two such powerful DNA added to hers nearly killed her and though she recovered she remained weak and became ill often, therefore her health was constantly monitored and she often had health check-ups. Because she grew up in one of Orochimaru’s hideouts she was not able to interact with many positive people and therefore grew to be nearly emotionless... Before he became sick, Kongomono randomly met Kimimaro while walking through the halls of the hideout. She was drawn to him for some reason so she followed him around and tried her best to stay around him. At first it annoyed Kimimaro that she would not leave him alone, however eventually he accepted her and began to spend time with her and watch over her and she came see him as her big brother.
When she becomes Genin age her Sharingan and Rinnegan activate, however she cannot activate them at will and she can’t use both at the same time. Her health is still monitored but she does not have healths check-ups as often as when she was a child. She develops a deep hatred for and blames the Leaf and Sand since Kimimaro died while fighting shinobi from there. A few days after the battle she returned to the battlefield to retrieve one of his hair clips and made it into a necklace. As she grew up she became more mature and more feminine so she began to grow her hair out.
When she is older, she can now activate either her Sharingan or her Rinnegan whenever she wants to, but she still cannot use them both at the same time. She is also perfectly healthy so her health is no longer monitored and she has health check-ups only once or twice a year and she has replaced her belt with a sound headband. Since she is now healthy she is free to leave the hideout and travel where she wants to. Being able to visit new places, she has matured even more and has picked up on some feminine qualities and has grown her hair out even more and dresses more femininely. She still wears one of Kimimaro’s hair clips as a necklace.
I finally got Hana's new base, and I decided to use it to make a proper reference for this OC. I quite like Hana's new base, it's more like a full body so it's perfect for refs. However I'm not a big fan of the arm positions, they aren't completely suited to very long sleeves, though I most likely just haven't figured out how to properly draw them with this base. But I completely love this base.
It took me hours to condense all of her info from her concept art into a proper backstory, but I think I did a pretty good job of making it make sense and flow correctly.
The original inspiration for her hair came from Nikki's OC Kurei. Her childhood hair came from older Kurei, then her Genin age hair from from Genin Kurei, but then her Shippuden hair is just a variation I came up with myself.
I'm worried about her being Mary-Sue-ish because she is an Orochimaru experiment and has both Madara and Hashirama's DNA, but I tried to balance it out by having it almost kill her, then have it keep her sick, but slowly get better as she gets older and then in Shippuden she's finally healthy. I'm especially worried people are going to make a big deal out of her having both the Sharingan and the Rinnegan, which I tried to balance out by making it where she can't use them both at the same time and she can't freely use them until Shippuden. I think everything is well balanced, but some like to single out simple details and make a big deal about it and I don't like to spend forever defending an OC, it makes me not even want the OC... And I quite like this OC so I would really like to keep her.
Her name isn't final because it's the best option that came out of me translating characteristics to Japanese hoping one sounded like a good name. I'm not a big fan of it so if anyone has any suggestions for names please suggest away.
